Potential 2024 Presidential Hopeful Liz Cheney Takes Another L

By Ryan Delarme, August 4, 2022

The January 6th Select Committee has decided not to make a criminal referral to the Department of Justice for former President Donald Trump. Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney is reportedly furious over the decision.

Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss), the chairman of the committee, was asked by a reporter if the committee would be sending criminal referrals for Trump and others, to which he replied:

“No, you know, we’re going to tell the facts. If the Department of Justice looks at it and assumes that there’s something that needs further review, I’m sure they’ll do it,”

When pressed further, he explained:

“No, that’s not our job. Our job is to look at the facts and circumstances around January 6, what caused it, and make recommendations after that.”

Needless to say, this is not what Cheney and her fellow committee members wanted to hear. In a statement of her own, Cheney said:

“The January 6th Select Committee has not issued a conclusion regarding potential criminal referrals. We will announce a decision on that at an appropriate time,”

A spokesperson for the committee spoke to CNN, saying:

“the Select Committee has no authority to prosecute individuals, but is rather tasked with developing the facts surrounding the January 6th riot at the Capitol. Right now, the committee is focused on presenting our findings to the American people in our hearings and in our report. Our investigation is ongoing and we will continue to gather all relevant information as we present facts, offer recommendations and, if warranted, make criminal referrals.”

As we reported previously, this comes as the testimony of Cheney’s star witness has come under heavy criticism. The witness was a former aide to ex-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows named Cassidy Hutchinson.

In the immediate wake of Hutchinson’s testimony, many of her claims were refuted by people directly involved in the events that she claimed happened. You can see a list of the refuted claims HERE. Much of the testimony has been called “second-hand information and hearsay”.

Her most notable claim was that Donald Trump grabbed the steering wheel of the presidential limo after being told that he could not go to the Capitol on January 6, 2020, as well as grabbing for the throat of Secret Service agent Bobby Engel. Within hours of her testimony, Engel said that the incident she spoke of never happened.

A third official, former Trump White House lawyer Eric Herschmann, disputed Hutchinson’s claim that she wrote a note for Trump to read on January 6. Herschmann claims the note was written by him, not Hutchinson.

A spokesperson for Herschmann said:

“The handwritten note that Cassidy Hutchinson testified was written by her was in fact written by Eric Herschmann on January 6, 2021… All sources with direct knowledge and law enforcement have and will confirm that it was written by Mr. Herschmann.”

Cheney has chosen to stand by Hutchinson despite almost all of her allegations being rebuked and disputed. Consequently,  a poll found that Cheney’s down a whopping 30 points to Hageman.

Despite the string of bad news, and that she appears likely to lose her seat in Wyoming, Cheney has teased the possibility of Presidential run in 2024, saying:

“At this point, I haven’t made a decision on 2024 …. I’ll make a decision on 2024 down the road… But I do think as we look towards the next presidential election, as I said, you know, I believe that our nation stands on the edge of an abyss and I do believe that we all have to really think very seriously about the dangers we face and the threats we face and we have to elect serious candidates,”

More Leaked Private Chats Destroy what’s left of Jan. 6th Committee’s Credibility

By Ryan Delarme, July 28, 2022

Earlier this month Vigilant News reported that leaked texts from Liz Cheney’s star witness Cassidy Hutchinson painted quite a different picture from the act she put on before Congress. Now, further private communications have been acquired by the Federalist.

After Hutchinson provided several since-debunked stories to congress, texts surfaced between the witness and a point of contact from the First Amendment Fund, a group that was started by the American Conservative Union for the purpose of helping Trump officials cover legal costs related to the politically motivated January 6 investigations.

In the text message, Hutchinson refers to the J6 Committee as “BS”:

The single screen capture was enough to raise a few eyebrows, but now the Federalist claim to have nearly 18 months’ worth of private chats between friends from the Trump Whitehouse, and one of them is Mark Meadows’ junior aide Cassidy Hutchinson.

During Hutchinson’s recent testimony before the committee, she claimed that she “still struggle[s] to work through the emotions” of Jan. 6. Yet, according to the Federalist, in one message sent three months after January 6th 2021, Hutchinson said “I would rather shoot myself dead into the Potomac than see marine one flying around this city without 45 again,”, a stark contrast to the production she put on before Congress.

The decidedly anti-Trump establishment media was quick to brand Hutchinson as a “show-stopping witness” whose testimony would echo through the halls of American history; which may still prove true, but likely not in the way that it was intended. The Intercept, for instance, tried to draw comparisons between Hutchinson and Alexander Buttler of Watergate fame.

Back in November of 2021, Cassidy Hutchinson was among the first to be subpoenaed by the select committee. In the following months, Hutchinson continually disparaged the highly politicized committee, often joking about the very same riot that she claimed left her emotionally scarred. According to the Federalist, six days after her subpoena Hutchinson referred to the J6 Committee as “phony”, and told a former colleague that her testimony would “have nothing to offer”.

“Other than a handful of irrelevant texts, I have literally no documents or anything they’re asking about,” one ex-White House staffer texted her.

“Same,” she wrote back.

In a group chat, a friend shared a tweet from another former White House colleague.

Hutchinson apparently praised the Tweet, saying “When we win again, we’re making her comms director Or press sec.”, on top of that, Hutchinson allegedly used the phrase “STOP THE STEAL” in December of 2020 in regards to efforts to contest the 2020 election.

The Federalist revealed more:

“By March, she was joking about placing a prominent image of Trump addressing his supporters from the White House Ellipse on Jan. 6 in the background of her Zoom-recorded deposition with the Select Committee. She also joked she might use an image from an infamous scene in the Oval Office where Vice President Mike Pence awkwardly sat between Nancy Pelosi and President Trump.”

Apparently, Hutchinson also had quite a different view of the Committee Vice Chair Liz Cheney and her cohorts than what was seen during the J6 production. In September, Hutchinson disparaged Cheney and Illinois Rep. Adam Kinzinger, the two Republicans hand-picked to serve on the committee by Pelosi, as a “crop of losers.”

“I think Liz being the ‘future of the GOP’ is a massive stretch,” Hutchinson wrote in one string of messages just two months before her appearance. “I think she does have the power to cement the anti-Trump, RINO movement and really capitalize off it on a national scale. She’ll never ever turn the tides in her favor. Ever.”

“Even if Trump were to fall off the face of the Earth, her neocon policies are not where the base’s ideological politics currently are nor will head,” she wrote. Still, she conceded that Cheney’s hatred of Trump had tremendous sway thanks to corporate media’s amplification and assistance. “But I do think this maneuver is by consequence ‘future-shifting’ for the GOP in that she does have the power of the media, the determination and the cut-throat mentality to capitalize off this.”

Less than one year later, Hutchinson embraced Cheney on live television after radically changing her story to match what Cheney and the corporate media desired.

According to the Federalist piece:

Hutchinson claimed that CNN’s Jim Acosta contacted her and said to her, “Thank you for your bravery and courage. We and the American people look forward to learning more from your testimony.” Hutchinson said she had “about twenty snarky responses typed to respond back but just let it go … Like stop WARPING everything you [f——] [j—–] … and also I couldn’t give less of a [f—] what cnn thinks of me. Truly.”

Within weeks, Hutchinson would be basking in the glow of effusive praise from Acosta and other partisans at CNN, many of whom described her as more important than CNN contributor John Dean.

Hutchinson did not respond to this story by press time.

Leaked Text’s Show J6 Committee’s Own “Surprise Witness” Cassidy Hutchinson Called the Committee “BS”

By Ryan Delarme, July 4, 2022

A report from the Dailly Caller has shown that Cassidy Hutchinson, the J6 Committee’s star witness, once held opinions that stand in stark contrast to those displayed on national television during last week’s surprise hearing.

The Daily Caller report revealed that on February 1st, Hutchinson sent a text seeking help from the First Amendment Fund, a group that was started by the American Conservative Union for the purpose of helping Trump officials cover legal costs related to the politically motivated January 6 investigations.

Hutchinson did not end up receiving any support from the group despite her inquiries.

In the text message, Hutchinson says: “Hey (redacted)! This is Cassidy Hutchinson. Kind of a random question, but do you still work for the Schlapp’s at the ACU?” to which the redacted individual replied, “Hi, Yes!”

Hutchinson then said, “Do you happen to know a First Amendment fund POC I could reach out to? I was subpoenaed in early Nov., but the committee waited to serve me until last week (after Ben’s deposition).”

“I had to accept service because the U.S. Marshalls came to my apartment last Wednesday, but I haven’t made contact with the Committee. I’m just on a tight timeline and just trying to figure out what my options are to deal with this bs,” Hutchinson added.

Hutchinson, who is now the focus of the committee, was a former aide to White House chief of staff Mark Meadows. She released a new statement last week defending her highly-contested testimony.

“Ms. Hutchinson stands by all of the testimony she provided yesterday, under oath, to the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6 Attack on the United States Capitol,” Hutchinson’s counsel Jody Hunt and William Jordan said in a statement on CNN.

Hunt also responded on Twitter to claims that she lied, saying, “Ms. Hutchinson testified, under oath, and recounted what she was told. Those with knowledge of the episode also should testify under oath.”

Vigilant News reported yesterday on at least nine instances of potentially false testimony, these claims have been either refuted or outright debunked.

RELATED: It’s All Bogus: How Surprise Witness Cassidy Hutchinson Completely Delegitimized the J6 Committee

Among the claims was a statement about an irate Donald Trump apparently grabbing the wheel of the SUV he was riding in and lunging at Secret Service agent Robert “Bobby” Engel when Engel told him that he would not go to the Capitol.

“I’m the f—ing president! Take me up to the Capitol now!” Trump allegedly shouted.

Hutchinson claims that she was told about the incident by Anthony Ornato, the White House’s deputy chief of operations for that day.

Secret Service Chief of Communications Anthony Guglielmi said in a statement that,

“The Secret Service has been cooperating fully with the select committee since its inception in spring of 2021 and we will continue to do so by responding formally and on the record to the committee regarding new allegations that surfaced in yesterday’s testimony.”

Guglielmi told Politico that the committee did not ask the Secret Service personnel to reappear or answer questions in the ten days before interviewing Hutchinson at the Tuesday hearing.

CNN’s Shimon Prokupecz tweeted Tuesday that a “Secret Service official familiar with the matter told CNN that Tony Ornato denies telling Cassidy Hutchinson that the former president grabbed the steering wheel or an agent on his detail.”

🚨 A source close to the Secret Service tells me both Bobby Engel, the lead agent, and the presidential limousine/SUV driver are prepared to testify under oath that neither man was assaulted and that Mr. Trump never lunged for the steering wheel.

Though most of Hutchinson’s testimony has either been proven false or refuted directly by those involved in the events, the committee’s star witness continues to defend her lies. We will continue to watch the situation and report on any developments in regards to this ongoing story.

It’s All Bogus: How Surprise Witness Cassidy Hutchinson Completely Delegitimized the J6 Committee

By Ryan Delarme, July 3, 2022

Last Tuesday, Liz Cheney and the J6 Committee brought out their “surprise witness” Cassidy Hutchinson, a former junior staffer for Mark Meadows.

The democrats and the establishment media billed this spectacle as an “explosive development”, which DID prove to be true, just not in the way that they had planned.

The grim union of the modern Democratic Party, the FBI, Big Tech, and the mainstream media have bent over backward to not only punish Donald Trump and his colleagues but to continue building on a year-and-a-half-long smear campaign meant to hurt the former President’s chances at a 2024 bid.

Despite the efforts of these powerful, amalgamated interests, the January 6th Committee hearings have tanked in viewership and engagement. The hope was clearly to make this a big televised event, as they brought on Ex-ABC News exec James Goldston, the very same exec who squashed the Epstein story.

The Committee hearings, and everyone attached to them, were dealt a grievous credibility blow when they brought out surprise witness Cassidy Hutchinson on Tuesday morning. The young woman sat for testimony and proceeded to tell several lies while under oath before the committee.

Gateway Pundit put together a damning list of the false statements mentioned during Hutchinson’s testimony as well as the purported “truth” of each statement.

As per The Gateway Pundit:

1.) Cassidy Hutchinson said President Trump attempted to grab the steering wheel of “the beast” and wrestle control from the Secret Service on January 6th.

Truth: President Trump was not in “the beast” on January 6th.

Truth: Secret Service agents willing to testify against this ridiculous lie by young Cassidy. It never happened.

2.) Cassiday Hutchinson said President Trump grabbed the neck area of Secret Service agent Bobby Engel.

Truth: Bobby Engel willing to testify this was a lie.

3.) Cassidy Hutchinson said President Trump broke dishes and flipped tablecloths on January 6th.

Truth: President Trump refutes the nonsensical claim.

4.) Cassidy Hutchinson claimed to have written a handwritten note on January 6th.

Truth: Former White House lawyer Eric Herschmann wrote the note and testified to this fact under oath previously before the committee.

5.) Cassidy Hutchinson said her boss Mark Meadows called Roger Stone on January 5th to find out what would play out the next day on January 6th.

Truth: Roger Stone has never spoken to Mark Meadows outside of a conversation they held in a green room in 2019.

6.) Cassidy Hutchinson said Mark Meadows spoke with General Flynn on January 5th.

Truth: General Flynn has never had a phone conversation with Mark Meadows.

7.) Cassidy Hutchinson said General Flynn and Roger Stone participated by phone in a briefing in the war room in the Willard Hotel with Mark Meadows on January 5th.

Truth: Did not happen. Stone and Flynn have not spoken with Meadows on the phone, ever.

8.) Cassidy Hutchinson said Jeffrey Clark met with Rudy Giuliani and Trump campaign at White House.

Truth: This is false. They’ve never met or communicated.

On March 7, 2022, former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson testified to @January6thCmte that former senior Justice Department official Jeff Clark strategized at White House with Giuliani and Trump campaign to object to election.

100% false.

They've never met or communicated. pic.twitter.com/9qjWq6KjtV

— 🇺🇸 Mike Davis 🇺🇸 (@mrddmia) June 29, 2022

9.) Cassidy Hutchinson testified that Trump’s White House counsel Pat Cipollone was at the White House on the morning of January 6, 2021.

Truth: Pat Cipollone was NOT at the White House on January 6.

EXCLUSIVE: Multiple sources tell @FDRLST Pat Cipollone wasn’t at the White House on the morning of Jan. 6 as Cassidy Hutchinson testified.

⁦@RepJimBanks⁩ is demanding DHS disclose White House surveillance logs to investigate claims. https://t.co/KpA61Z3CUd

Of course, Legacy Media is refusing to report on any of these glaring discrepancies, instead choosing to run with Hutchinson’s uncorroborated testimony as if it were cold hard fact.
