WSJ Editor to Davos: “We No Longer Own the News”
Information and discourse are no longer monopolized by traditional media entities. Decentralized media is the future and the present.

By Ryan Delarme, January 21, 2024

During a WEF discussion at Davos titled “Defending Truth,” Wall Street Journal EIC Emma Tucker lamented this loss of control over “the facts.”

“I think there’s a very specific challenge for the legacy brands, like the New York Times and like the Wall Street Journal,” Tucker said, adding “If you go back really not that long ago, as I say, we owned the news. We were the gatekeepers, and we very much owned the facts as well.”

“If it said it in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, then that was a fact,” she continued, adding “Nowadays, people can go to all sorts of different sources for the news and they’re much more questioning about what we’re saying.”

Vice President Věra Jourová of the European Commission also participated in the discourse, characterizing the proliferation of “disinformation” as a “security menace” and stating,  “It was part of the Russian military doctrine that they will start information war, and we are in it now.”

“Disinformation is a very powerful tool,” Jourová continued, adding that “In the EU we are focusing on improving of the system where the people will get the facts right. We don’t speak about opinions. We are not correcting anyone’s opinions or language. This is about the facts.”

Republican Legislators Introduce Bill Defunding the World Economic Forum

By Ryan Delarme, January 20, 2024

House Republicans have introduced legislation that would suspend financial support for the World Economic Forum.

“No funds available to the Department of State, the United States Agency for International Development, or any other department or agency may be used to provide funding for the World Economic Forum,” the bill reads.

Representatives Scott Perry (R-Pennsylvania), Tom Tiffany (R-Wisconsin), and Paul Gosar (R-Arizona) were among those who introduced the legislation.

“The World Economic Forum doesn’t deserve one cent of American funding, and it’s past time we defund Davos,” Perry said in a press release.

Speakers at the annual conference of the WEF, held in Davos, Switzerland, earlier this week, expressed concern regarding “misinformation generated by artificial intelligence.”

Professor of Internet law at George Mason University Carl Szabo stated on Thursday that forum leaders are concerned that artificial intelligence may aid the reelection campaign of former President Donald Trump.

“The Defund Davos Act would ensure that U.S. tax dollars are not funding the World Economic Forum and their reset on our way of life. I thank Congressman Perry for leading this important effort,” Tiffany said.

Kevin Roberts, president of the Heritage Foundation, was invited to participate in a panel discussion on the prospects of a potential Republican presidency. He utilized the occasion to offer a critique of the WEF’s endorsement of socialism and globalism, asserting that the incoming conservative presidential administration ought to unequivocally reject every idea put forth at the organization.

Hundreds of Dutch Farmers Face Forced Sale of Land to Uncompromising Government, Potentially Linked to World Economic Forum and Great Reset Agenda

By Ryan Delarme, October 16, 2022

Farmers from Ontario are standing with their Dutch counterparts as they protest draconian plans by their government to limit farming in the Netherlands.

We reported on the protests taking place across Europe over weaponized regulations against farmers back in July.

Now, at least 600 Dutch farms are fighting back against the forced sale of their land to an uncompromising government in the next year, according to a GBnews report.

In an interview with the UK-based news organization, political commentator and former Forum for Democracy party member Eva Vlaardingerbroek echoed Dutch farmers’ continued outrage with their leaders in the wake of the recently announced land-grab plan.

“The outcome of the new program is worse. They’re going to expropriate, forcefully buy out, 600 farms in the next year,” Vlaardingerbroek tells GBNews host Mark Steyn, adding, “but it sounds a little nicer in the way that it’s written in the little text.”

“Instead of changing anything, they just changed the tone,” she said.

The pretense for this land grab is the reduction of nitrogen oxide emissions from agriculture — all in pursuit of controversial climate change goals.

It has been suggested that there are more occulted motives behind the endeavor.

Back in July of this year, Vlaardingerbroek told Breitbart News that her country is essentially the “pilot” for the World Economic Forum’s Great Reset agenda.

Vlaardingerbroek said that countries like Canada and the Netherlands are being used as staging grounds for the World Economic Forum (WEF) and other globalist elites to pursue their radical schemes to transform society, mainly under the guises of global health and climate change.

Vlaardingerbroek said:

“Our government is following a climate agenda, the 2030 agenda more broadly speaking, and they are saying that the Netherlands has nitrogen and ammonia emissions are too high and that they are threatening the climate and local nature, and that they need to be cut down”

“For some reason, they aren’t coming after the airlines or other industries that actually are contributors to these emissions apart from the Dutch farmers. They are saying that the farmers need to give up 30 per cent of their land by 2030 and for a lot of these farmers that means they will go completely out of business depending on where they are in the country and that land goes to the state, surprise, surprise,”

“Our farmers are being expropriated and the state is stealing their land… and oftentimes these are businesses that they have had in their families for centuries on end because the farming industry in the Netherlands is very strong.”

Under the coalition government of liberal globalist prime minister Mark Rutte, the Netherlands has “committed to reducing the nitrogen emissions produced by livestock by 50 percent by the year 2030” to fall in line with the EU’s Natura 2000 scheme, which requires member-states to protect certain areas designated by Brussels to be in danger ecologically. This means that some areas will be forced to reduce their emissions by as much as 95 percent, with estimates claiming that 30 percent of the country’s farmlands could be impacted.

Vlaardingerbroek believes that the farmers are aware this is not just coming from the national level, claiming that Prime Minister Mark Rutte:

“is very deeply involved in the World Economic Forum, is a great proponent of all the ideas laid out in the 2030 Agenda and the Great Reset, it’s all related, all these policies are out of those institutions and they are being implemented in our country first, we are sort of the pilot country together with Canada for this agenda.”

Having strict control of the food supply it empowers the government to have “full control” over people’s lives “if they can dictate what and when you can or cannot eat,” Vlaardingerbroek said.

“Wars have been started over less,” she remarked.

OpEd: Food Shortages, Fuel Prices, and Inflation are All Products of Globalist Policy

By Ryan Delarme, June 2, 2022

Ryan DeLarme,
June 2nd, 2022

The World Economic Forum is essentially the face of globalism today. We know that they espouse such things as “the Great Reset” and “the Great Narrative” and they do it in a much bolder fashion than previous globalist think-tanks like the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission, or the Bilderberg group.

We reported on some of the things coming out of Davos last week, particularly a potential “green” social-credit system. While it is true that the forum has been receiving more attention and scrutiny now than ever before, many onlookers remain unaware that most of today’s crises are a direct result of WEF policy pushed by forum members who also happen to be installed within the governments of many nations.

First, let’s look at energy, where shortages have led to the highest gas prices the US and UK have ever seen. Unfortunately, the perpetually imminent, amorphous bogey-man the elites have branded as climate change has completely changed the world’s energy situation.

[A side note on Climate-Change vs True Environmentalism: It is important that we do not conflate well-branded buzz terms such as “climate change” with environmentalism itself. It is totally possible to care about being good stewards of the planet and practicing without falling for the “climate change” scam. The term came about after the global-warming data manipulation scandal broke as an attempt to rebrand. It’s the globalist strategy of using a perceived impending crisis as a way to consolidate power and create new forms of economic warfare. If you’d like to learn more I highly recommend reading Climategate by Brian Sussman.]

Blaming members of the WEF for our current crisis is a bold statement, let me explain what that actually looks like.

  • Canada’s tar sands wouldn’t have been demonized and the country would have built the Keystone XL Pipeline and other pipelines to transport ever greater quantities of energy across the continent and beyond.
  • Liquefied natural gas facilities on the Atlantic and Pacific coasts of Asia, the Americas, and Europe would have been built to ship and receive plentiful natural gas.
  • “Net Zero” policies are crippling the financing of new fossil fuel facilities. Carbon taxes wouldn’t be making energy ever more expensive.

In the same fashion that the United States became the world’s largest oil and gas exporter during the Trump administration after we scaled back crippling regulations, Europe could have been awash in energy had bans on fracking and offshore fossil-fuel development been lifted to allow the development of its immense oil and gas reserves.

The WEF relies on prophecies of certain doom to create a sense of urgency behind its policies. What they don’t tell us is that their ominous forecasts are based on computer climate models, all of which have proven false to date.

Despite these climate policies, carbon dioxide in the atmosphere—now at 400 parts per million—has reached record levels. Many consider this to be a good thing because CO2—also known as nature’s fertilizer—has produced a bounty of bumper crops. Australia reports record wheat, barley, and canola crops and near-record sorghum crop. India and Brazil also expect record numbers.

Regardless of these record crop numbers, starvation is on the rise. The United Nations warns that we’re in the midst of a “global food crisis” in which “44 million people in 38 countries are at emergency levels of hunger.” Here, too, the responsibility rests with globalist policies that make food unaffordable.

The primary contributing factor to famine is the supply chain disruptions caused by the globalists’ decision to abandon traditional responses to pandemics in favor of an experimental lockdown of much of the world’s economy. Another contributing factor to supply chain disruptions was the globalists’ decision to perpetuate the Russia-Ukraine war by providing Ukraine with billions in armaments, a departure from the past norm of pressuring combatants to resolve their differences through negotiations. As a result, agricultural production in Ukraine, once known as the breadbasket of Europe, collapsed, with wheat production falling by 44 percent and corn by 39 percent.

This barely touches on the myriad additional concerns regarding the World Economic Forum and the ideas they have for the world, but hunger, inflation, and gas prices are a great starting point. These are things that affect every single one of us.

World Economic Forum Unveils “Green” Social-Credit System

By Ryan Delarme, May 29, 2022

Ryan Delarme,
May 29th, 2022

Last week the world’s most philanthropic globalists met in Davos to discuss a wide variety of issues including climate change, inflation, and the war in Ukraine. One particular topic that has caught people’s attention is an app that can track the carbon footprint of an individual.

Alibaba Holdings President and former Goldman Sachs vice-chairman  J. Michael Evans lays it out for the audience of the “Strategic Outlook: Responsible Consumption” panel:

“We’re developing, through technology, an ability for consumers to measure their own carbon footprint. What does that mean? That’s where are they travelling, how are they travelling, what are they eating, what are they consuming on our platform. So: An individual carbon footprint tracker.”

To clarify, Evans is only talking about Alibaba’s own platform, but the platform is significantly large. The Chinese company is the second-largest e-commerce company in the world after Amazon, with revenues in excess of 715 billion Yuan in 2021 (that’s over 110 billion USD).

On top of that, Alibaba is not just an E-commerce platform. Through their financial and technological service companies, Alibaba runs the largest domain name market, email provider, and cloud storage services in China, not to mention the largest payment platform in the world.

To put it in understandable terms, Alibaba is the Chinese equivalent of a merger between Amazon, Google, and PayPal.

Since Alibaba bought AutoNavi in 2014, they own the biggest e-map navigation company in China. Through Alihealth they supply online pharmacy services, as well as providing computer technology to hospitals and clinics too.

Basically, if you live in China and want to pay for something on the internet, you probably use Alibaba. If you want to order something online from a small business, you probably use Alibaba. If you want to sell your stuff second-hand, you probably use Alibaba.

Alibaba’s also a market leader in AI services, becoming the first-ever payment platform to start using facial recognition technology to confirm payments in 2017. Other projects you may recognize include “CityBrain”, an AI designed to scan cities and provide “streamlined” traffic services. Warning of potential accidents as well as making public transport more efficient, a clear move toward “Smart Cities”.

This won’t be the company’s first “individual carbon footprint” app either. In 2017 their payment platform subsidiary Ant Financial Services was named 6th in Fortune’s “Change the World” list for its Ant Forest app.

And while we’ve been focusing on the individual carbon footprint tracker, something else Evans says later in the panel is just as interesting:

“The third thing, we call it “Green Travel”. So, we have within our business something called AMAP – a mapping, think Google Maps or Ways – plus travel destination business. So what we’re going to allow people to do is, first of all, calculate the best and most efficient route and also the most efficient form of transportation. And then, if they take advantage of those recommendations, we’ll give them bonus points which they can redeem elsewhere on our platform. So, they are incentivised to do the right thing, even while they are provided the opportunity to do the wrong thing.”

Let’s put these three facts together. It seems Alibaba currently has apps, either being used or in development, that:

  1. Monitor travel routes and methods and “reward” users for making the “correct choice” even when they are allowed to make “the wrong choice”
  2. Can track an individual’s “carbon footprint”, including what they eat and where.
  3. Have users “earn points” for “earth-friendly habits”.

Individually these functions are worrying enough, but when combined with what we already know, it starts to paint a troubling picture. Add that with what we already know of the company’s reach through its subsidiaries: Smart Cities, banking, healthcare records, emails, internet activity, and more.

How long before Alibaba decides to “reward” other “correct choices” that have nothing to do with the environment? Like vaccination, for example.

How long after that do they start punishing what the ruling class deems to be incorrect choices?
