More Narrative Seeding? Ukraine’s Leading Mobile Provider Targeted by Severe Cyber Assault
This attack is the latest in a series of headlines regarding cyberwarfare

By Ryan Delarme, December 12, 2023

The largest mobile network operator in Ukraine was the target of what Reuters is calling the “largest cyber attack of the war with Russia so far” on Tuesday. Millions of users were unable to access mobile and internet services, and portions of the Kyiv region were also without air raid alert systems.

In addition to over 1.1 million residential internet subscribers, Kyivstar boasts a mobile subscriber base of 24.3 million, which exceeds half of the population of Ukraine.

Its CEO, Oleksandr Komarov, stated that the attack was “partially destroyed” and was “a consequence” of the conflict with Russia; he did not specify which Russian organization he believed to be responsible.

In short, nothing is yet confirmed but the imminent threat of what the World Economic Forum refers to as a “cyber storm” remains fresh in the minds of the individuals who consume this kind of news media.

“War is also happening in cyber-space. Unfortunately, we have been hit as a result of this war,” he told a national television broadcast.

Ukraine’s SBU intelligence agency informed Reuters that a cyberattack orchestrated by Russian security services was one of the possibilities under investigation.

In the Reuters article, it is stated that “Russia’s foreign ministry did not immediately respond to a request for comment.” It is unknown how much time was given for Russia to respond, only that they did not respond immediately.

“(The attack) significantly damaged (our) infrastructure, limited access, we could not counter it at the virtual level, so we shut down Kyivstar physically to limit the enemy’s access,” Komarov said.

An anonymous source that Reuters alleges is “close to Ukraine’s cyber defense” said that Russia was suspected to be the source of the attack, but no specific group had been identified.

Again, there is no solid proof that it was Russia.

This is our third story in two weeks regarding hackers or large-scale cyberattacks.

Surveillance “Reform” Legislation Pulled by GOP Leadership
Last week we reported on two bills that would reauthorize Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA)

By Ryan Delarme, December 12, 2023

Two bills seeking reforms to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act were withdrawn from the floor by the Republican leadership of the House of Representatives. This action was taken in response to the criticism directed at Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., for permitting the introduction of the bills.

Late Monday evening, Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Kentucky, a member of the House Rules Committee, verified to the Washington Examiner that neither of the Section 702 reform bills would be brought to the floor for a vote this week.

Republicans have been divided regarding the extension of Section 702 of FISA; therefore, Johnson had planned to introduce both bills on Tuesday and have the one that receives the most votes proceed to the Senate. The House Judiciary Committee introduced the Protect Liberty and End Warrantless Surveillance Act, whereas the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence introduced the FISA Reform and Reauthorization Act of 2023.

Rep. Warren Davidson, R-Ohio, a member of the Judiciary Committee, allegedly accused Mike Turner, R-Ohio, chairman of the Intelligence Committee, of “f***ing lying” regarding the judiciary measure.

In the end, several members voiced their discontent with what they referred to as the “queen of the hill” strategy, in which a single measure would prevail, and they urged Johnson to choose and support one.

For now, the bills have been pulled.

Former Biden COVID Official: A Breach in a Wuhan Laboratory Could Have Triggered a Pandemic

By Ryan Delarme, December 11, 2023

Former White House National Security Council pandemic official Dr. Raj Panjabi has now publicly speculated that a laboratory breach in Wuhan, China, may have been the source of COVID-19.

Yesterday at the annual Forbes Healthcare Summit, Panjabi stated, “It is plausible that Covid originated in a laboratory accident in Wuhan,” as reported by The Daily Mail. “We have got to do more to keep labs safe.”

Recall that in May 2020, Biden referred to former President Donald Trump’s assertion that Covid originated from erroneous Chinese experiments as “nakedly xenophobic.” However, numerous scientists and US government officials, including the FBI and the Department of Energy, now consider it to be the most probable source of the pandemic.

Panjabi further cautioned that the likelihood of future pandemics increasing globally is expanding.

“There is a 50 percent risk one will happen in the next 25 years. This is because of globalization, or what I call the three Ps,” he said.

These “three Ps” given by Panjabi are “pathogen spillover,” when diseases leap from animals to humans; “planes,” since they encourage global travel; and “poor public health systems that are shattered and lack investment.”

Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, the Wuhan Institute of Virology was subject to scrutiny due to its failure to furnish mandatory safety and security information after receiving funding from the U.S. government.

The U.S. government has appeared divided regarding the laboratory or natural origin of COVID.

It is worth noting that intelligence agencies initially provided assurances regarding the Wuhan wet market as the authentic source of COVID-19. However, similar to the “intelligence experts” who endorsed a letter speculating on the Russian origin of the Hunter Biden Laptop, intelligence agencies seem to have an unsatisfactory history of informing the public about the truth.

Soros Scion Meets With Zelensky as Wall Street Salivates Over Post-Conflict Reconstruction

By Ryan Delarme, December 10, 2023

This past weekend, Aleksander Soros, the heir apparent to George Soros Open Society Foundations, traveled to Kyiv to once again affirm his backing for the Zelensky government as Ukraine’s largest independent financier.

Hundreds of billions of dollars have been spent and hundreds of thousands of casualties have been incurred in what has, at best, been described as a stalemate in Ukraine, with Western nations becoming increasingly weary of the conflict. Despite this, It appears that agenda-setters affiliated with globalist interests are determined to increase their support for Ukraine.

Saturday in Kyiv, 38-year-old Alexander Soros, who assumed operational leadership of his father’s Open Society Foundations earlier this year, attended a meeting with First Lady Olena Zelenska and subsequently joined President Zelensky at a meeting to discuss the tens of thousands of Ukrainian children who are presently residing in territory occupied by Russia.

The Soros heir announced a partnership with the Open Society Foundations and contributed $1 million to the charity started by First Lady Zelenska during his journey.

The influence empire of George Soros has become extensively entrenched in Ukraine since the collapse of the Soviet Union; in 1990, it established the International Renaissance Foundation (IRF) in Kyiv.

According to the Soros network, for over three decades, the IRF has been the “largest independent funder of Ukraine’s vibrant array of civil society and citizen groups.”

The Open Society has awarded grants totaling more than $230 million to organizations in Ukraine over the last decade, with a particular emphasis on the media and education systems. In 2015, the organization assisted in the establishment of the National Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine.

“The foundation has supported the development of independent media outlets in Ukraine and has supported a range of fact-checking initiatives and other efforts to counter disinformation and promote informed public debate,” Open Society said last month.

The Soros empire has maintained a longstanding stance in favor of Ukraine’s accession to the European Union. George Soros, in particular, acknowledged having significantly contributed to the 2014 Euromaidan protests, which resulted in the overthrow of the democratically elected government of Viktor Yanukovych via coup d’état due to the former leader’s refusal to entirely sever relations with Russia in favor of the EU.

Following the Yanukovych rebellion, Russia initiated an invasion and annexation of Crimea, which subsequently sparked a sporadic confrontation with Ukraine.

In addition to the Open Society, prominent Wall Street financial institutions including BlackRock and JPMorgan are reportedly preparing to “mobilize capital from private and public sector investors toward rebuilding the Ukrainian economy” in anticipation of a lucrative windfall when post-conflict reconstruction endeavors commence.

Already more than a year ago, President Zelensky asserted that the cost of reconstructing his nation would exceed one trillion dollars.

Surveillance “Reform” Legislation Proposed by the House Intelligence Committee Is Deceptive at Best, Destructive at Worst

By Ryan Delarme, December 9, 2023

Both the House Committee on the Judiciary (HJC) and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) marked up two bills that would reauthorize Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA)—but in very different ways. The bills in question were H.R. 6570, the Protect Liberty and End Warrantless Surveillance Act, in HJC, and HR 6611, the FISA Reform and Reauthorization Act of 2023, in HPSCI). Under a procedural rule known as “Queen of the Hill,” both measures will be presented on the House floor the following week. The bill that receives the most votes will be forwarded to the Senate for further deliberation.

Renewing any surveillance authority remains a convoluted and intricate matter; however, this decision is unambiguous: we strongly urge all Members to vote NO on H.R.6611, the FISA Reform and Reauthorization Act of 2023, the bill introduced by the Intelligence Committee.

A report published by HPSCI on November 16 advocated for the reauthorization of Section 702, stressing the need for only minimal reforms. The following legislation, H.R. 6611, was as disastrous as anticipated. It would extend for an additional eight years Section 702, which authorizes mass surveillance. It would establish new authorities that have been denied by the courts despite years of pursuit by the intelligence community. It would sustain the unrestricted gathering of communications from American citizens engaged in conversations with individuals located overseas, to provide such information to domestic law enforcement. This was not the intent of this national security program, and due to a vulnerability, communications of individuals on U.S. soil should not be collected without a warrant.

If the last decade is any indication, FISA is due for reform.

To reiterate, the purpose of Section 702 was to authorize warrantless surveillance of non-U.S. citizens overseas to gather foreign intelligence. Domestic law enforcement agencies are progressively surveilling this portion of digital communications that occur within the United States, without producing a warrant. Millions of intrusive searches for American communications, including those of dissidents, racial justice activists, 19,000 donors to a congressional campaign, journalists, and even members of Congress, have been conducted by FBI agents using the Section 702 databases.

This is not a partisan initiative, these resolutions affect us all while bolstering the surveillance state.

The HPSCI bill also includes a call “to define Electronic Communication Service Provider to include equipment.” Earlier this year, the FISA Court of Review released a highly redacted opinion documenting a fight over the government’s attempt to subject an unknown company to Section 702 surveillance. However, the court agreed that under the circumstances the company did not qualify as an “electronic communication service provider” under the law. Now, the HPSCI bill would expand that definition to include a much broader range of providers, including those who merely provide hardware through which people communicate on the Internet. Even without knowing the details of the secret court fight, this represents an ominous expansion of 702’s scope, which the committee introduced without any explanation or debate of its necessity.

In contrast, H.R. 6570, the Protect Liberty and End Warrantless Surveillance Act, a measure from the House Judiciary Committee, would prohibit warrantless backdoor searches of Section 702 databases containing communications of Americans, thereby addressing a significant issue with that legislation. In addition, this legislation would forbid law enforcement from acquiring data on Americans that would otherwise require a warrant, thus bypassing fundamental constitutional safeguards. Significantly, this legislation would additionally reestablish this authority for a limited duration of three years, affording Congress an additional chance to reassess the implementation of the reforms and propose additional modifications should the government continue to exploit the program.
